Hannah from A Cup of Wonderland takes the Inside Out Challenge

Taking on the challenge today we have Hannah, who has a really nice blog A Cup of Wonderland. Hannah is one of my fellow #NorthernBookBloggers and I'm very happy to have her here today.

Hi! I’m Hannah from A Cup of Wonderland, which has been my blog for almost seven months and I completely adore it! Thank you Liam for inviting me to take part in this challenge! Can you tell me about a book you have read that made you feel joy?

In case people aren't aware I am a massive Star Wars nerd so a book which gave me immense joy last year was Ahsoka By E.K Johnson which I actually listened to on audiobook. Why this book gave me immense joy was because it gave me the answers on what happen to my favourite character. Moreover, when listening to the audiobook Ashley Eckstein, who is the actress who voices the character in the TV shows was the narrator which made me super happy.


What about a book that filled you with sadness?

A Monster Calls By Patrick Ness, it is a book which I completely adore but makes me sad but it's a sad story anyway. Following a boy called Connor and a monster which tells him three moral stories, we look at the effect being a carer can have on a person but see Connor come to accept his feeling towards his mother's cancer.


Have you read a book that made you feel angry?

Everything Everything By Nicola Yoon. I suppose it made me angry because it didn't go how I wanted it to, especially after hearing so much hype about the story. It just ended in my opinion so predictable and I was hoping for it to be something completely different.


Has a book ever disgusted you?

I wouldn't say a book has exactly disgusted me. Perhaps a better answer would be things what happened in books which have disgusted me? An example in The Loneliest Girl in the Universe there is something to do with teeth which completely freaked me it but I adored the book?


Can you tell me about a book that made you afraid?

The Bunker Diaries By Kevin Brooks, technically a brilliant novel but the whole concept of people being kidnapped and locked in a basement completely shocks me to my core. The concept freaks me out.


And finally, can you tell me a little bit about a book that you know inside out?

13 Reasons Why By Jay Asher, a book which really shows another side of what could have happened to me. It was one of the first books I read after I started reading again and I connected to the story so much and Hannah.

My pleasure, Hannah. Thanks for coming. I'm going to have to read The Loneliest Girl in the Universe now, just to find out about the thing with the teeth! I've heard great things about 13 Reasons Why, and I'm glad you connected with it in a good way!  Oh, and although I haven't read Ahsoka yet, I definitely will. She's an awesome character in the cartoon series.
